The National Trust has sent a letter to Quantock Centre Chairman Ken Hague about the difficulties some people are experiencing over the renewal of their annual Trust membership.
The difficulties have been caused by problems with the computer system and the normal membership renewal process. We are doing all we can to resolve them as soon as possible, says the letter.
However, it warns that, despite extra staff in the membership
department and working longer hours, the position will fluctuate
until the underlying problems are fully understood and then fixed.
The Trust has no way at present of identifying which members
might be affected by the renewal issues (although we're working on
this, too) and so we have to rely on them contacting us.
So, anyone who is having problems, please contact the Trust's
membership department in the usual way on 0844 800 1895. If the
problems are especially worrying or urgent, contact Ken Hague (01823
257031) who will trigger action to try to resolve them quickly.
